Long shot - helping a friend whose father flew in the 99th BG. He is trying to find the B-17 serial number for "MIS BEHAVIN", one of the aircraf his father flew. The CAF has a nose art panel from this aircraft. My friend was able to learn from the CAF that the panel came from a B-17 scrapped at Walnut Ridge, but they had no record of its serial number. In looking at the all the aircraft flown by his father, only 3 were scrapped at Walnut Ridge.
Was wondering if the photo of this aircraft would give any clue as to which of these 3 aircraft it might be:
46651 - 65-DL
46701 - 60-DL
2102691 - 55-BO
Thanks
Frank

Re: 99th Bomb Group - Misbehavin
Frank,
This panel is displayed at the EAA Eagle Museum at Oshkosh but is still owned by the CAF. We have it listed on this webpage at the Aero Vintage site: https://www.aerovintage.com/b-17-locato ... rt-panels/
The serial number remains unknown so maybe your request will draw some responses from some guys who are good researchers that visit this forum.
