ID please? B-17G Avon Park A E1, no cheek guns (ID'ed)

On eBay at the moment, taken at Keesler; note the 1948 insignia:

42-102737 looks like a possible match - skipped Cheyenne, based at Avon, then to Keesler and hung around postwar:

42-102737 Del McDill 31/3/44; 326 BU McDill 13/2/45; 325 BU Avon Park 23/2/45; 3704 BU Keesler 14/8/45; 338 OT Keesler 28/8/46; (? Duugn Terr-Sinstpe 10/1/51 ?).

Is it just me or does that wingtip look clipped?

The wingtip looks clipped to me.

Post-1948 B-17 with chin and top turrets...very unusual, if that is indeed a post-1948 insignia. The main fuselage door also seems to be missing or obscured by the camera angle.

Just bought it so I'll try to do a better scan when it gets here.
(Odd how the serial number faded so fast but the codes didn't.)
