Smithsonian B-17

Post by jmkendall »

Hi,

As usual I am away from home and my copy of the "Final Cut". So this may be reaaaaaaally old news, but I just found this surfing and thought some of you might like to read it.http://library.ndsu.edu/grhc/articles/n ... ation.html

It is the story of the original owners of that bird, supposedly and probably should make it into the RFC page, if accurate!

Joe....that's quite a find. I've searched for more information about this airplane's time at Hazen and this article answers many questions. This is the airplane currently under restoration at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum at Savannah, GA. I'm sure they would like to know about this article also...I will pass the link on to them.

Thanks.
