The blue and white bird may be the E model that wittington got out of there back in the late 80s.That bird had been on its belly before and that could explain the football further aft than it should be.That looks to be stock pitot mast up the front as well.the story of how that bird was found and flown back to miami fla is a story all by itself.Wittington got there first and best dressed would be how I describe that.

I thought the same thing when I saw that pict labeled as a B-17G.
I said, "Well, it has paddle blade props, and the ADF is aft, but it has
B-17E/F pitot tubes. Your explanation works.

No no no...that was not supposed to be labeled as a B-17G. Not sure how that got past the team of proofers. Wait, there are no proofers. That explains it. Happy New Year to all.
