TB-25K 44-31508 (ex-N6578D) is going to be put up for sale, according to a Reevers Facebook posting. This is the B-25 used to film Battle of Britain in 1969. It has had a checkered history through the years and went to the Reevers group in Australia in 2015 after it had sat at an airport at Franklin, Virginia, in near-derelict condition for many years. The Reevers grouped basically cleaned up the airframe and reassembled it, mostly, for static display. The airplane is in Australia and is in reportedly pretty rough condition…pretty much stripped out with corrosion issues to boot. It has been on static display more or less, for the past two years. Nonetheless, perhaps a B-25 for your hangar?
No indication of how the airplane will be sold or what the asking price will be. Interesting to follow.
