Interesting stuff Dave.

The 41-9151 shot should be while it was with the 301st Bomb Group at Geiger prior to going to Hawaii and joining the 11th Bomb Group.

The other one looks a lot like the "formation" shots in Twelve O'Clock High but I can't recall ever seeing that one in the foreground before.

Looks a bit like the camera enclosure for an F-9 recon ship:




Not quite the same shape, though. The planes in the movie were supposed to be drones/drone controllers; maybe some part of that equipment? Air sampling unit for nuclear tests?

The B-17 with the weird nose turret -- I seen that nose glass someplace on one of the surviving B-17..... That is also definitely not standard B-17 nose cone

Wonder if Scott recognizes the aircraft.
