I imagine based on the lack of guns in the nose glass and the white cowlings that this is a stateside trainer, but figured someone might know more about "Q-Ball"

The white Cowlings and lack of ID number on the nose would lead me to believe she is a Gulfport ship

I agree that the white cowlings probably indicate a stateside aircraft, but there were quite a few B-17s in England without nose guns, for for reasons I have I have never been able to determine.
