This serial turned up some interesting stuff from Osborne:
44-8139 Del Dallas 19/6/44; Ft Myers 24/7/44; as QB-17 110 BU Mitchell 23/8/44; 2 EEL Fort Dix 18/9/44; 1377 BU Grenier 21/9/44; 4149 BU Ft Dix 5/11/44; 110 BU Mitchell 27/1/45; 4149 BU Ft Dix 20/2/45; 139 BU Shaw Fd 1/5/45; 4121 BU Kelly 4/9/45; 4149 BU Ft Dix 22/10/45; ATS Dover 13/1/46; 4112 BU Olmstead 13/4/46; 4108 BU Newark 30/9/46; w/Frank Hoffpauir f/l Mitchell Fd, NY 8/10/46; 110 BU Mitchell 10/2/47; 4000 BU Patterson 15/2/47; 4108 BU Newark 19/2/47; 4112 BU Olmstead 30/6/47; Recl Comp 7/1/49.
Note the nose art, not quite legible, underwing buzz number BA-139 and the second nose window has been covered over.

AAIR has some more details; the photo may be of the last accident listed in 1948:

Since the photos include tire tracks over running the end of the runway - the buildings could be the warehouses at Harrisburg

4149th AAFBU (Electronics Experimental Squadron) (AAF ATSC) Fort Dix Army Air Field, N. J.

Olmstead is Harrisburg Air Depot (AKA Middletown Air Depot (MAD))

#2 and 3 props are bent -- so taxi accident (B-17's are taxied on inboards)
