Nose art help
Hi Guys,
As some of you are aware, I am building a B-17 cockpit and I will be getting to the stage soon of trying to give it an identitywith some artwork.
What I am after are some ideas/photos of some B-17s with any artwork that is situated more under the pilots windows, I am sure there must have been some.
The only rules are that it must be a B-17G, have the knock-out front panel windshields and preferably in the olive drab, although natural metal will do if I cannot find many other photos.
The cockpit section is from just past the sliding side windows to forward just short of the astrodome, and will be down to approx. level with the cockpit floor.
Hope you guys can find some photos, and maybe soon i will finally be able to give it a name.

hey dave why dont you build the nose so you are not so limited.I have made the frames for the nose and will be making windows soon. This way you can make the proper version and that would be an F model.

Reply is here.
It was always going to be an option but funds are limited until I sell some stuff, as for the F model, well I would have to agree about it being the proper version, but the parts for a G are more availiable.
Perhaps I could knock up an F model cockpit later
If you could let me know prices for the frames I can start saving.
