Broke up and updated the Mantz, Tallman, and Tallmantz aircraft listings on the website. Still many holes to fill in and move some aircraft around to where they belong.

A work in progress, with assistance by several individuals. More to follow.

Okay, updated the updates with as much new information that I have to date. More photos to come, etc. Many thanks to many who added or corrected. Will name names later.

Those five lists are many hours of work for the 0.000000262% of Americans who really want to know about the airplanes operated by these gentlemen and this company. Is it worth it?

Great information and thank you for taking the time to compile it for all to enjoy. I, for one, am proud to be part of the 0.000000262% who "do" appreciate this stuff.

I grew up near the airport back in the late 60's and made many trips there with my dad just to see what was up. I'll never forget the day they removed the "Snark" and the -107 from the south end of the runway. Something about seeing those there for so long, similar to the "Tora" ships at Long Beach, it made driving past the area a little more than just driving.

I have a question that's unrelated (i think) to Tallmantz, at the North end of the airport, right at the entrance (in the 70's) there was a Mustang that sat there for years (red and white with a blue stripe IIRC). I know it was a flyer and dad and i used to see it take off once in a while, it may have even had drop tanks. I found one that fits the description over at mustangsmustangs which was eventually owned by Bill Spears but much later.

Anyone know the ship i'm talking about???

I remember the Mustang, though it was parked at the extreme south end of the airport at that time. You could see it when you drove along Palisades Road (later Bristol) with its nose jutting up. I used to have a photo of that airplane somewhere that I took with my little Kodak camera but I can't locate them, unfortunately. If I ever come across it I'll post it right here.
