It was confirmed by a member of this forum
that "Swamp Ghost" is heading out of PNG.
Don't know if y'all heard about that.
Now, to get it flying again!
And on another note, I've heard from several
friends about a fire that swept through "Black Cat Pass",
and the B-17 that was sitting up there on
the ridge.
It would be interesting to know just where it's going to go for restoration.
Tallichet told Wilbur Richardson (a friend of mine) that it was going to Pima Museum's shop. But, since he's no longer around I'm sure things have changed, or not.
I still have some brand new waist gun doors I'd like to trade for the old corroded ones.
And, I've only seen it on television once (some program about a guy looking for his dead uncle's B-25), but there's another "E" sitting in a mountain field. Looked about the same condition as the "Ghost".
Pictures of black cat pass b-17 are over at the wix.It does not look that bad.Somebody needs to get it as well so we all will continue to stay out of the bars and from chasing the girls and rebuild b-17s till we drop over the bench from old age.Cant think of anything I would rather be doing.
