I find it interesting that the Air Force Museum is going to build jigs to work on the MEMPHIS BELLE, but the Urbana group doesn't seem to care about jigs for their project. :shock: :roll:

The Urbana group does have jigs...so to speak. They have rods implanted into the hangar floor attached to the hard points on the airframe. I am not sure who came up with this idea but it seems to work for them. This is just an observers point of view.

Those things aren't jigs, they're nothing but supports.

I think it could have been a hell of alot better. I would have major concerns pertaining to the wing attatch area.The factory fixtures were serious pieces of "ART" in their own right. Time will tell and it very well may go back together with no problem. I prefer just a bit more insurance myself. JMO
