Comments: "Heart felt thanks and appreciation for all the kind comments and wonderful memories about my step-dad, Tom Mooney. My Mom, Gloria (Toni) married Tom shortly after he retired from the Marine Corps in 1968. Tom met my Mom during his last active duty assignment in Philadelphia. After retiring they loaded up the truck and moved to HB (California). Shortly thereafter he began working for Tallmantz Aviation. During that time he of course flew the movies, did Bah-Bah Blacksheep, and a variety of other things which he considered less enjoyable. Those things included the NCR runs, ferrying the Stearman, and boring errands in a variey planes including the Baron. I recall visiting he and my Mom while on leave and accompanying Tom on a couple of his NCR runs where he'd allow me to fly the Baron when the conditions were right. We all miss Tom very much and were devistated when he was killed while flying for Antilles Air Boats in the Virgin Islands. In what seems like just a few days thereafter, Frank Tallman was killed. Their losses were devistating not only to family and friends, but to military and civil aviation."

Comments: "Hello, Stumbled accross this site doing research for a model. I used to work at Chino for Tony Corbo and later for Bill Byles. Heard a lot about the aircraft and the men. Now I feel even better informed. Thanks a lot."

Comments: "I've confirmed, to my satisfaction anyways, that the Ft. Rucker SE-5E is, in fact, the old Tallmantz airplane. This is based on a number of sources through the years. I've updated the Tallmantz aircraft listings."

Comments: "Ryan,
Sorry for not getting back to you about the Eberhart logbook. My website listing is incorrect about the current location of 22-296. It seems to have disappeared off the radar screen, though one source shows it now displayed at the U.S. Army Aviation Museum at Ft. Rucker, AL, as "18-0012." This seems plausible but I would like to confirm.
Would it be possible to get scans and/or photocopies of the logbook pages?
Thanks."

Comments: "I have a flight log-book signed by Paul Mantz, Jack Knight, Garland Lincoln and Richard "Dick" Rinaldi. It is from an Eberhart SE-5 serial number AS 22-296 / NX4488. The book is from when Paramount pictures owned the plane after it appeared in Howard Hughes "Hells Angels". I am looking to find the aircraft and or owner. Please let me know if there is anyone that I could contact. Feel free to give my email address to anyone that would have information. I have photos if needed."

Comments: "Just discovered your great site & found it very informative. Just wanted to let you know I purchased years ago & still own the Paul Mantz's logbooks for the N1203 from 1/53 to 8/53 & 7/55 to 10/57. They are very interesting records of their flights all over the world. If these can be of any help in anyone's research, please feel free to contact me Tim Robbins"

Comments: "I worked for Tallmantz Aviation as a fueler, then supervisor from 1983-1986 before my career in the military and airlines."
Comments: "I own the Garland Linciln Nieuport 28 LF-1 (N12237). I am restoring it from its last movie "The Great Waldo Pepper" where Frank Pine had an "incident".
I am looking for the whereabouts of the other LF-1's, pictures or stories, other movies or commercials it was in.
